PA Farm Show debuts butter sculpture created by Conshohocken artists

The 2023 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg debuted on January 5th a butter sculpture created by Conshohocken-based artists Jim Victor and Marie Pelton. This year’s sculpture has the theme of “Rooted in Progress,” meant to highlight the strong roots of Pennsylvania agriculture and a vision for the future.

Jim Victor and Marie Pelton, Sculptors, joined Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding to unveil the 2023 Pennsylvania Farm Show butter sculpture. Carved from 1,000 pounds of butter, it highlights this year’s theme: Rooted in Progress.

The artists started work on the sculpture in mid-December. The butter is donated by Land O’ Lakes in Carlisle. Following the show, the butter will be converted to renewable energy.

The butter sculpture is on display in the Farm Show’s Main Hall. The show runs January 7-14.
