Philadelphians flocked to Conshohocken and Plymouth Meeting for bottled water

The chemical spill in Bucks County that is impacting tap water in a portion of Philadelphia led to store shelves in Conshohocken and Plymouth Meeting being wiped clean of bottled water. Below is a video of the long line last evening at BJ’s in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). We also heard that Giant at The Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting had empty shelves where water is usually stocked.

Since the run on bottled water, officials in Philadephia clarified that the tap water for the portion of the city impacted was expected to be fine until Monday, May 27th at 11:59 p.m.

The issue does not impact the suburbs.
