The 115 acre Plymouth County Club has been sold to The 1912 Club, LLC, a group led by golf professional Brian Quinn. Quinn owns a golf academy based at Tee’s Golf Center on Conshohocken Road and is the coach for Temple’s golf team.
The announcement of the sale came via an email from the club’s president, Chuck Caparo, to the Plymouth Country Club membership. It stated:
I am very proud to announce that our Shareholder Members have voted UNANIMOUSLY to approve a sale of Plymouth Country Club to The 1912 Club, LLC at a Shareholders General Meeting on Tuesday February 20, 2018. The Board of Governors along with our Solicitor, Rick Troncelliti have worked tirelessly over the last 8 months to get to negotiate the impending sale of the Club. All through the process we were committed to negotiating in the best interest of the PCC Membership. The future is now and we know it will be a bright one for the PCC Family.
The email also offers that Ron Prichard, noted Golf Course Architect specializing in renovation of William Flynn and Donald Ross designed courses, made a presentation to the Board of Governors on how they intend to improve on the club’s classic William Flynn course.
More to come.
