Detective Sergeant Thomas Longo of the Plymouth Township Police Department retired after 33 years on the force. Below are two videos. One is from 6ABC Action News and the other is a video from the department.
After a 34-year career, spanning portions of 5 decades, today, October 9, 2020, marks the final day of work with the Plymouth Township Police Department for Detective Sergeant Thomas Longo. In addition to serving in the Patrol Division, Tom was an original member of the Plymouth Township Police Department’s K-9 Unit, where he faithfully served until his promotion to Patrol Sergeant. Over a decade ago, Tom took over supervision of the Investigations Unit, where he served until his retirement today. Tom was willing to lend a hand when needed, provide guidance when necessary, and always led with compassion, integrity and intelligence. Detective Sergeant Longo’s leadership and guidance has left a mark that will be felt for years yet to come. We shall be better for it. We thank you for your service, wish you well as you begin the next chapter of your story, and remind you that your Family here at Plymouth Township will always be here for you.
