Plymouth Whitemarsh High School’s Chase Welliver has received and accepted an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. The academy offers approximately 300 appointments out of 2,000 to 3,000 applicants each year.

Welliver is set to report to the academy on June 30th for a seven-week training program and will then participate in a sailing program this summer before starting classes in the fall.
