Police investigating incident with ATVs on Germantown Pike that was caught on video

The Plymouth Township and East Norriton Township police departments have announced investigations into the incident involving ATVs on Germantown Pike from October 29th that was first reported by MoreThanTheCurve.com.

In a video, obtained by MoreThanTheCurve.com, operators of ATVs are shown boxing in a white SUV with one of the operators reaching for the passenger side door handle of the SUV as the vehicles crossed from Plymouth Township into East Norriton Township.

In its statement, the Plymouth Township Police Department shared:

The Plymouth Township Police Department takes these incidents seriously and is currently working an active investigation, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies. We are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the operator of the white SUV, any of the operators of the involved ATV’s, along with the identity of the person who recorded the video.

The East Norriton Police Department posted the following on Facebook:

The East Norriton Township Police Department along with our law enforcement partners are investigating an incident involving a group of ATV riders on October 29, 2022 traveling through Plymouth and East Norriton Townships. Currently, several leads have been developed regarding the identity of the ATV riders. If anyone has additional information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact the East Norriton Township Police by calling 610-635-4300.

The Plymouth Township Police Department also shared tips on what to do if you find yourself in a similar situation as the SUV:

The following are safety tips for any motorist involved in a similar situation.

  • Remain Calm
  • Lock your vehicle doors
  • Slow your vehicle down
  • Call 9-1-1
  • Repeatedly activate your vehicle horn to attract attention
  • Turn off the roadway when possible
  • Attempt not to escalate the situation
  • Be a good witness by noting vehicle and operator descriptions
