Power Restored to Covanta Plant Just After Midnight

This morning, Covanta sent MoreThanTheCurve.com an update on its plant in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). At 2:00 a.m. on October 15th, the plant lost power and shut down, which is a noisy process. The plant also released an odor due to its odor control fans not having power.

Below is the latest update from Covanta:

Power was restored to the facility at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday and the team is working to restart the boilers and return to normal service. With power now restored, the facility is running odor control fans that contain odors inside the building.

We’ll continue to provide updates as information is available.
