Second storm brings new power outages and road obstructions in Conshohocken, Plymouth, and Whitemarsh

Not all of the power outages from the storm that passed through the July 16th had been resolved when a second storm hit the area during the afternoon on July 17th.

In Conshohocken, the storm knocked a tree into a home and into the street along West Elm Street. That didn’t result in a power outage, but the tree is touching the wires.

The power is out near East 11th Avenue and Jones Street in Conshohocken. That outage is impacting 216 accounts. There are also a few smaller outages in that area of the borough. One the westside of Conshohocken there is a cluster of small outages between East 10th and 11th avenues near Fayette Street.

Last night’s storm resulted in a big power outage in the Whitemarsh Woods neighborhood in Lafayette Hill (Whitemarsh Township). That outage had been resolved, but the second storm has caused a new outage impacting 79 accounts. There are also small scattered outages throughout the township.

In Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township) there is a large outage impacting 66 accounts off Sandy Hill Road near the 1912 Club. There are also several other small outages off Belvoir Road.

Based on the Montgomery County Active Incident Report, it appears that the Conshohocken area was the hardest hit by today’s storm. There are several road obstructions and fire investigations following the storm.

More to come if needed.
