Silver Springs – Martin Luther School seeks to add high school students

Gemma Services, the operator of the Silver Springs – Martin Luther School located at 512 Township Road in Plymouth Meeting is seeking to add high school students. The private school provides a comprehensive program for students who need emotional support. It currently has approximately 120 students in grades first through eighth.

The issue will be on the agenda for the Plymouth Township Zoning Hearing Board on May 17th at 7:00 p.m. The school is appealing a decision from the township’s zoning officer that the school is not allowed to have high school students based on two zoning decisions from the early 1970s. If the appeal is not successful, it requests a special exception that would allow it to add high school students.

The agenda can be found here. The Zoom link will be available on the township’s website on that day.
