Special exception sought to allow Mediterranean restaurant in Whitemarsh Shopping Center

Brixmor, the owner of the Whitemarsh Shopping Center at the intersection of Ridge and Butler pikes in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township) has filed a zoning application that seeks a special exception to allow a restaurant at the shopping center.

The application is on the agenda for the July 13th meeting of the township’s planning commission. The planning commission will make a recommendation and then the zoning hearing board will make a final determination at a future meeting.

The restaurant is Mezeh, a fast-casual Mediterranean grill that currently has locations in North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. The first location in Pennsylvania will be in King of Prussia, which is currently listed as “coming soon.”

The menu allows you to make your own bowl, flatbread wrap, or pita pocket by selecting between seven proteins, 30 toppings, and 10 sauces.

If approved, the restaurant would fill the third and final space within the new building constructed at the shopping center. AFC Urgent Care and Orangetheory Fitness are already open in the new building.
