Storm knocked out power to approximately 2,500 locally

A storm just blew through and knocked out the power in several places in Conshohocken, Plymouth Township, and Whitemarsh Township. If you view MoreThanTheCurve.com’s active incidents page, you can see there are a large number of electrical fires and accidents in the area (as of 4:20 p.m.)

Below are the specifics regarding outages.

Conshohocken
PECO’s outage map doesn’t show any outages in Conshohocken, but when you view outages by municipality, it says there are 23 accounts without power.

Plymouth Township
PECO reports that there are 1,056 accounts without power in Plymouth Township. There is one impacting 359 accounts near Virginia Road and Clover Lane. It is expected to be restored by 5:40 p.m. There is a second large one near Township Line Road and Jolly Road that is impacting 585 accounts. It is expected to be restored by 5:20 p.m. There is another outage along Township Line Road near Walton Road that is impacting 168 accounts that is also expected to be restored by 5:20 p.m. There are several scattered smaller ones (impacting less than 20 accounts each) that are all expected to be resolved between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Whitemarsh Township
PECO reports that there are 1,596 accounts without power in Whitemarsh Township. The largest one is impacting 616 accounts and is located near Stenton Avenue/West Valley Green Road area. Power is expected to be restored by 5:30 p.m. Another large one is along West Mill Road near Fort Washington Station Park which is impacting 181 accounts. It is also expected to be resolved by 5:30 p.m. All of the smaller ones are expected to be resolved between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
