The Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library presented their annual check for the Mary Knowles Technology Fund at the October 12th meeting of the Friends Board.
The Mary Knowles Technology Fund was established by the Friends of the Library in honor of Mary Knowles, a former beloved library director. A donation is presented each October.
In response to requests from the Library, the Friends presented the check this year in the amount of $3,000. Some of the projects funded in 2023, to date:
- partially funded upgrade of the audio-visual equipment in the Willaman Community Commons
- supplemented funding for the Willaman Community Commons Projection System and Hearing Loop
- Meeting Owl hardware
The library used monies from the Mary Knowles Technology Fund for these items in 2022: - Closed Captioning Software for Zoom
- Microphone and Hi-Res Webcam for Hybrid Programs
- Hotspot Hardware Fees
- Zoom Account
- EnvisionWare Printing Subscription
- Webcams and Microphones
