The latest restaurant news for Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, and Lafayette Hill

The local restaurant scene in Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, and Lafayette Hill has had a couple of recent openings, closings, and several new places moving towards opening. There are also a handful of spaces available for restaurants to open. Below is the breakdown as of July 7th.

Recently Opened

The Biscuit Lady
The Biscuit Lady recently opened at 115 Plymouth Road in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township).

The Daisy Tavern
The Daisy Tavern recently opened at 1100 East Hector Street in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township).

Recently Closed

Conshy Seafood Co.
Conshy Seafood Co., located at 3024 Butler Pike in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township), closed in June. See what is replacing it below.

Ruby Tuesday
Ruby Tuesday at 2053 Chemical Road in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township) closed in May.

Asad’s Hot Chicken
Fast growing Asad’s Hot Chicken is opening at 3024 Butler Pike in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township). This is the spot that was most recently Conshy Seafood. An opening date has not been announcned.

Federal Donut’s & Chicken
Federal Donut & Chicken is opening at the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). An opening date has not been announced.

New Era Indian Cuisine
New Era Indian Cuisine, which has a location in Philadelphia, is opening a second location at 1005 Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township). An opening date has not been announced.

Lassan Indian Traditional
Lassan Indian Traditional is opening within the Shopper’s World shopping Center at 539 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill (Whitemarsh Township). An opening date has not been announced.

Outback Steakhouse
The Outback Steakhouse is planning to demolish the current location at 322 Ridge Pike in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township) and replace it with a smaller and more modern restaurant. No timing of when this will take place has been announced.

Royal Farms
Royal Farms is bringing its famous fried chicken, along with a convenience store and gas pumps, to 906 West Ridge Pike in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). It has also obtained a liquor license to sell beer to go. It is not yet constructed and a projected opening date has not been announced.

Unnamed Replacement of the Old Mansion House
The new owner of the property at 641 Old Elm Street in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township) sought and received zoning relief to construct a deck on the rear of the building. That deck has not been constructed as of yet. There has been recent activity within the building and it was inspected by the Montgomery County Department of Health. So things look to be moving forward, but no opening date has been announced.

During the zoning relief hearing, the restaurant was described as having 45 seats inside on the first floor (15 seat bar with 30 table seats), with 40 more seats on the deck. The restaurant will serve regional Italian fare and have a brick oven for pizza.

Seeking Approvals

Former Carol’s Place Space
The ownership of the property that was Carol’s Place at 201 West 6th Avenue in Conshohocken is seeking to construct an outdoor patio, which requires zoning relief due to a requirement for off-street parking. One zoning hearing has been held thus far and no decision has been rendered. A name of the restaurant has also not been announced.

Unnamed Wine Garden
Cooper Winery, the corporate entity that owns the winery at Pieri Farm and Vineyard, is seeking zoning relief to open a “wine garden” that would also feature a couple of pickleball courts and a bocce court. The space is located at 127 East Elm Street in Conshohocken. The hearing is scheduled for July 15th.

Former Bertucci’s at the Plymouth Meeting Mall
The former Bertucci’s at the Plymouth Meeting Mall in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township) has been closed since the fall of 2022.

Former Ashley’s Deli
The space that was most recently Ashley’s Deli (and Lenny’s before that)

Sorrento’s
In April, the owners of Sorrento’s at 449 Ridge Pike in Lafayette Hill (Whitemarsh Township) announced that they were retiring and selling the restaurant. Please note that it will remain open until it is sold.

Former Ruby Tuesday in Plymouth Meeting
The Ruby Tuesday’s at 2053 Chemical Road in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township) closed in May. We have not seen the building marketed.

The Metroplex
The owners of The Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting recently sought and received zoning relief to add a restaurant at the shopping center. The new building would be in a parking lot near Guitar Center. No timing or a tenant has been announced. The building has not been constructed.

Former Real Fruit Bubble Tea at the Plymouth Meeting Mall
Real Fruit Bubble Tea closed at the mall in early 2024. The space is available.
