The Lucky Dog in Conshohocken has been sold and will reopen as a new restaurant

The owners of The Lucky Dog Gastropub in Conshohocken have announced that they have sold the restaurant to new owners. The restaurant has been closed for the past few days and will reopen at an unspecified date under a new name.

The Lucky Dog originally opened in Lafayette Hill in May of 2001. It was located in the building that is now home to Nirvana Indian Bistro. It moved to the much larger Conshohocken location in May of 2015.

Below is the message from the owners:

Dear Lucky Dog Family,

Over the past 20+ years it has been our honor and privilege to share in the celebrations of love, life, friendship, and food carried out within our Lafayette Hill and Conshohocken restaurants. Going to The ‘Dog every day never once felt like work – we’ve enjoyed every moment together.

Today, we have news to share. We have taken an opportunity to transition our Conshohocken location to a new family—a husband and wife team with previous experience in the restaurant industry.

The Lucky Dog in Conshohocken is currently closed and a new restaurant will be opening in the near future. We hope that you will show the new owners a warm Conshy welcome!

This is not goodbye, just so long for now. Thank you for a wonderful two decades dining with us and allowing us to be a part of your joyous occasions. We will forever cherish the memories and community that we built together.

Warmest wishes to you and your families for a happy and healthy holiday season.

Kind Regards, Barrie and Steve

We do not yet know the identities of the new owners or what they have planned for the space. Once we do, we will have a follow-up article.
