Third shooter involved in Norristown homicide arrested, DA says

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Norristown Acting Police Chief James Angelucci announced today the arrest Jabril Morgan-Cook, 18, of Norristown, on charges related to the May 23 murder of Tahaj Harrison in Norristown.

On June 11, Steele and Angelucci issued an arrest warrant and a $5,000 reward for information leading to Morgan-Cook’s arrest. He was found hiding in a house in Pottstown on the evening of Wednesday, June 25 and was taken into custody without incident, the DA said.

Naseem Worrell, 17, of Norristown, is in custody on first-degree murder charges related to the shooting. Norristown resident Kaleem Roland, 16, was arrested June 4 on first-degree murder charges related to the shooting.

Morgan-Cook is the third shooter involved in the homicide and has been charged with First-Degree Murder, Third-Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Firearms Not to be Possessed by a Minor and Possession of a Firearm Without a License. He was arraigned today without bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 25, the DA said.
