The Maurizio family announced on August 14th that it has sold Tony & Joe’s Pizzeria at 203 Fayette Street in Conshohocken. In the announcement, Natale “Moe” Maurizio thanked the community for supporting the business for 35 years and shared that the business was sold to Gale and Rick Mahoney.
From the announcement:
After 35 wonderful years of owning Tony and Joe’s pizzeria, the time has come for me to turn the page and begin a new chapter. It’s hard to put into words what this place—and all of you—have meant to me over the years.
What started as a small dream became a second home, not just for me, but for so many of you who shared meals, stories, celebrations, and even the occasional snowstorm with us. Through good times and tough ones, your loyalty, kindness, and support helped carry this little pizzeria forward—and for that, I am deeply grateful.
From the bottom of my heart: thank you. Thank you for letting me be part of your lives, for believing in what we built, and for making this journey something I’ll always cherish.
I’m proud to share that the restaurant will be in great hands. Rick and Gale Mahoney, the new owners, bring a genuine love for food, community, and the kind of hospitality you’ve come to expect here. I have full confidence they’ll honor the spirit of this place while adding their own touches that will make it even better.
Though I’ll be stepping away from the day-to-day. I’ll never be far from Conshy!!
This is the third restaurant the Mahoneys have purchased in Conshohocken over the past three years. The Mahoneys acquired Pizza Time/Old Time Saloon in 2023 and Guppy’s Good Times in 2025.
