Two significant development proposals are on the August 4th agenda (view) of Plymouth Township’s council. The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Plymouth Township Building.
The first is a presentation from BET Investments for the Conshohocken Ridge Corporate Center at 625 West Ridge Pike in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). This is essentially the intersection of Ridge Pike and Colwell Lane. BET is proposing to redevelop a portion of the office park with a mixed-use development that would include 201 apartments above a grocery store and other retail, plus a parking garage.
BET has made two prior presentations on this proposal to the council, which is now branded Plymouth Crossing. The meeting agenda (view) includes documents associated with the proposal, including a description of the development (pg. 20), diagrams of the property (pg. 22), a fiscal impact analysis for the township and school district (pg. 24), and a transportation impact analysis (pg. 42). Please note that this is a presentation and there isn’t any type of vote scheduled.
The second significant development item on the agenda is listed under “Action Items” and involves a potential motion to approve the advertisement of a zoning map amendment that would allow Sal Paone Builder to redevelop the Plymouth Ridge Corporate Center at 521, 523, and 525 Plymouth Road in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township) with townhouses (note that the one office building that is home to Mission Kids would remain). You can view a previous article on this proposal here. Please note that the vote on the motion would take place at the August 11th meeting. The council members have the opportunity to discuss it on August 4th.
A motion to advertise is an initial step to schedule a hearing on the issue. Whether to amend the township’s zoning code would be determined by the Plymouth Township Council.
