Chemical Road was partially closed on March 26th due to a portion of the road sinking. It was beleived that a sinkhole was causing the problem.
Plymouth Township Councilmember Kathy Bandish posted on NextDoor today an update on the situation. Below is the text of that post:
PENNDOT will be holding additional meetings this week with utilities and engineers to solve the sinkhole problems on Chemical Road. The water from Plymouth Creek is not flowing as before into the basin established adjacent to Cracker Barrel. The problem may be greater than initially thought. There is currently no established time line for the work but will keep all informed as the project moves forward.
