Update on Riverbend Cycles, A Bike and Coffee Shop Opening in Conshohocken

We checked in last week with Mark Vaughn, owner of the not-yet-opened Riverbend Cycles, to find out when he anticipates opening the bike ship and more about the cafe component. Riverbend Cycles is going to be located in the Miller House, a historic building that is just across from where the Schuylkill River Trail comes out of the trees near the Spring Mill Train Station and just behind the new apartments, The Courts at Spring Mill Station, at East Hector Street and North Lane.

Here is the update from Vaughn:

Construction is moving right along and at the moment we are still on schedule for a March 1st opening. Our goal is to be ready to go by the end of the winter thaw.

For the coffee shop we will be partnering with Greenstreet Coffee Co. from Philly and are still shopping our pastry provider. We have chosen to work with Greenstreet because of their commitment to sustainable organic farming practices, fair trade, and small batch brewing. We will provide a full range of coffee beverages from espresso to ice coffee and everything in between. We will also provide teas, whole bean coffee, home brew equipment, and know how.
