Video and Photos from the SEPTA Train and Taxi Accident – Submitted by a Reader

This morning a SEPTA train along the Manayunk/Norristown line struck a disabled taxi on the tracks. One person on the train was injured and the taxi was empty at the time.

A reader submitted to MoreThanTheCurve.com a short interview with the taxi driver and a few photos from the scene. The reader reported that while the taxi was crossing the tracks it turned onto the tracks instead of turning onto Washington Street. As you will learn in the video, the driver states that a tire became stuck in the tracks.

Service on the Manyunk/Norristown line has since been restored.
