Tipster and realtor Eric Rehling pointed out to us today that the Wawa on Butler Pike is currently undergoing some renovations. We stopped down and were told that the construction was cosmetic in nature.

We have to admit, we first though it was going to be an expansion to create a cafe, which is necessary to allow beer sales. Wawa recently added beer sales at a test location in Delaware County. This is apparently not the case.

All the work right now is on the exterior of the building. However, there are signs on the doors stating that the store will be closed starting at 12:01 a.m. on March 22nd. The below sign doesn’t state when the store will reopen.
