About 10 days ago we relaunched MoreThanTheCurve.com and announced that we now have an investor/partner. Thanks to everyone who congratulated us and continues to read/enjoy the site.

Even more exciting, is that MoreThanTheCurve.com is now targeted for criticism on CraigsList.com’s Rants and Raves section. We will be estatic if a sub-reddit is ever dedicated to us.

Anyhow, there were two recent posts about us under Rants and Raves, here is the jist:

Morethanthecurve is known as a “hyperlocal” news site. Emphasis on “hype”. Site is designed to force you to wade through ads and other shiny objects to find actual news…good luck with that. Closest thing to news is under the heading “buzz” and is mostly more ads disguised as announcements and local posts from social media and entertainment sites like youtube.

What our biggest fan fails to recognize is that anything involving Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, Lafayette Hill and Plymouth Meeting is something we consider relevant for publication. It could be the approval of a huge development or video of a drunk guy in Conshohocken talking to his dog (this does exist). There is serious news, there is funny stuff, there are things we just think people will be interested in (and people love looking at pictures of their neighbor’s home).
