West Conshohocken extended expanded outdoor dining for one month but prohibited music and games

During its June 8th meeting, West Conshohocken’s Borough Council voted to extend expanded outdoor dining for one month, but prohibited music and games such as cornhole and trivia.

Expanded outdoor dining was permitted in response to the indoor dining restrictions placed on restaurants during the pandemic. Restaurants were permitted to use areas on their property not traditionally used for seating as dining areas.

The owners of Gypsy Saloon spoke on how outdoor dining allowed them to survive the pandemic, but even though things are improving there are still a lot of people who wish to only dine outside.

Two neighboring property owners spoke against allowing expanded outdoor dining to continue due to the associated noise mainly from music. One resident spoke in favor of allowing outdoor dining to continue.

Borough Council will now revisit the issue in July.
