West Conshohocken Police Officers Have Saved Three Lives Using Drug to Prevent Overdose

We were reading the minutes from the October meeting of West Conshohocken’s Borough Council recently (that is what we do on a Saturday night) and we came across this tidbit about the recent life saving measures taken by West Conshohocken police officers:

Chief Sinclair stated our officers saved the lives of three people in one week who overdosed on heroin by administering the overdose drug Naloxone. This has turned into a real life saving program.

We did a little research and found out that police departments across the country are training their officers to administer the drug. It is mostly used by injecting the drug into the muscle.
