Whitemarsh Township sent out a notice this morning that it anticipates deploying the flood gates along the Wissahickon Creek due to the storm affecting the region today.

The township encourages residents to prepare for the flood gates to be deployed along the creek. This area includes but is not limited to West Valley Green Road, Stenton Avenue, and Cricket Road.

Significant rainfall historically produces flooding along the creek and results in the area becoming inaccessible.
