With snow in the forecast, Colonial School District to operate virtually on January 7th

With snow in the forecast, the Colonial School District has announced that it will operate virtually on Friday, January 7th. Below is the text of the notice:

Due to the inclement weather forecasted for our area tonight and into tomorrow morning, all Colonial School District schools will provide virtual instruction for our K-12 students on Friday, January 7, and all school buildings will be closed. We realize that traditional snow days are enjoyable, but we just returned from an extended break and would like to maintain instructional continuity through virtual learning.

Students in grades 4-12 will be asked to take their devices home with them today. Our K-3 students who keep their assigned devices in school will be provided devices to take home. Students will access their classes via Zoom links that will be provided by our teachers on either Google Classroom (K-5) or Canvas courses (6-12).

Our building principals and technology department are available to answer questions you may have regarding your child’s schedule for tomorrow or technology needs. You may also send an email to csdsupport@colonialsd.org if your child experiences technical difficulties related to virtual instruction.
