Zoning hearing for a proposal to build 503 apartments at the Plymouth Meeting Mall nearing end

Plymouth Township’s Zoning Hearing Board is scheduled to hear oral argument and public comment on the proposal to construct a 503-unit, high-rise apartment community at the Plymouth Meeting Mall on Tuesday, September 21st at 7:00 p.m. A series of multi-hour hearings have been held over several months.

All of the previous hearings on this application were held virtually, however, this one will be held in person at the Plymouth Township Building at 700 Belvoir Road in Plymouth Meeting. Note that we previously reported that it would be at the community center.

During the September 21st meeting, the Zoning Hearing Board could deliberate and take a vote or decide to do so at a future meeting.

The proposal is being made by PREIT, which owns the mall. You can find an outline of PREIT’s application here. The township is opposing it.
