There are several interesting agenda items for the August 5th meeting of Conshohocken’s borough council. The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the borough hall. In the order of what we find interesting:

The borough council will consider approving the purchase of 680 Colwell Lane, which is actually just over the border in Plymouth Township. The building was the longtime home of Young Windows, which somewhat recently consolidated its operations at another location. The property was purchased by an entity associated with local developer Ratowsky & Trainor in October 2025 for $4,650,000. We are working on finding out the borough’s intentions for this property.

There will be a discussion on bids received to continue the Conshohocken Cab (Community Shuttle Service). The borough council recently authorized a bidding process to determine the cost for continuing the program, which has not seen significant ridership.

There will be a presentation on the preliminary/final major subdivision and land development application for the
redevelopment of 18, 38, 42, 44, 46 Maple Street by MECKA Properties, LLC. MECKA has proposed building townhouses on the site of a former recycling center and a couple of residential properties along Maple Street.

There will be a discussion establishing a Park and Recreation Commission.

There will be a discussion on the results of the trial period for the temporary residential permit parking on the 200-
300 blocks of East Elm Street and overnight residential permit parking at 400 West Elm Street.

Council will consider authorizing the Borough Solicitor to seek party status on behalf of the Borough in the Zoning
Hearing Board proceedings regarding the proposed data center in Plymouth Township. This is more of a formality, as the council previously discussed this and there was agreement among them.
