Flanigan Boathouse’s Jamie Weber learned today that Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken had collected all the mementos left on gravesites and put them in the trash. Weber collected all of the mementos she could find and has them available for the families who left them.
According to the cemetery’s website, it regularly collects temporary items left at gravesites (think flowers and greenery at Christmas time) and posts notices on when this will occur. The confusion seems to be what qualifies for removal.
