Aqua has announced that it will begin replacing 5,200 feet of pipe on the west side of Conshohocken starting August 8th. Being replaced is a 6-inch cast iron pipe with 8-inch ductile iron water main. The streets and blocks involved are as follows:
- Maple Street from West 1st Avenue to West 3rd Avenue
- Forrest Street from West 1st Avenue to West 3rd Avenue
- West 3rd Avenue from Fayette Street to the dead end of West 3rd Avenue
- West 4th Avenue from Fayette Street to the dead end of West 4th Avenue
The work to replace the pipe is scheduled to take place on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., however, there may be a need to work on Saturdays. Residents will have access to their properties, but at times will need to enter from a different direction due to changing work zones. Emergency services, mail, and trash collection will be provided access.
The work is expected to last into December.
