Colin Mash, a 21-year-old Conshohocken native and 2020 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, is nominated for season 4 of Broadway World’s Next On Stage competition. The competition highlights both high school and college age talent competing for prizes including a scholarship to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy as well as a work session with The Telsey Office (one of the biggest Broadway casting agencies).
You can view Mash’s submitted performance of “I Don’t Care Much” from Cabaret here and vote. Once you vote, you need to confirm your vote in the confirmation email you receive right after you submit.
BroadwayWorld did these competitions frequently in quarantine when Broadway opportunities weren’t as accessible. Now they’re bringing it back to give these young talents a new opportunity to make it on the big stage in New York City. Contestants are split into high school and college ages. Contestants had to submit videos of themselves performing any musical theater song of their choice. Submissions were then approved and are now up for public vote.
Colin just recently starred in the national tour of Hits! The Musical. You can currently find him assistant choreographing for the students of Colonial Middle School and their spring production of Camp Rock: The Musical.”
The first round of voting begins November 13th and ends at 11:59 PM ET on November 27th. The first results show will air on December 1st. Judges for the fourth season include J. Elaine Marcos (A Chorus Line), Lesli Margherita (Matilda), Kyle Taylor Parker (Kinky Boots), Courtney Reed (Moulin Rouge!), Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls), and Michael James Scott (Aladdin).”
