Conshohocken resident and Navy veteran Gayle Gaumer is featured in the 2024 edition of the Pin-Ups for Vets calendar. Gaumer is Ms. October.
Pin-Ups For Vets raises funds to improve Veterans’ healthcare by everything to donating funds to VA hospitals for medical equipment and program expansion, to promoting volunteerism at the facilities, and supporting military wives and female Veterans.
In the below interview with Military Times, Gaumer discusses Pin-Up for Vets, her career in the Navy, and a recent trip to celebrate Veterans Day Week in California.
Gaumer served for 23 years between active duty and reserves. While on active duty she served as an Electronic Warfare Technician on the USS John Hancock and in the reserves as an Intelligence Specialist under the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Office of Naval Intelligence. She now works as a federal civilian employee for the Naval Sea Systems Command at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
