Doomie Grunt who publishes Dead Malls & Derelict Digs on YouTube.com recently visited the Plymouth Meeting Mall. Grunt walks through the mall and gives a history of the mall.

Near the end of the video, he mentions the effort by PREIT to redevelop the effort to bring apartments to the mall (which MoreThanTheCurve.com has covered extensively). He also states that he had read an article about the mall itself being redeveloped, but could no longer find it. What he is likely referring to is a plan to convert a large portion of the interior of the mall into office space (life sciences). This plan has not moved forward as of yet.

While this video was published on July 8, 2023, we think the footage is older as the Hallmark store is shown and that has been closed for some time. But that doesn’t change the history given by Grunt.
