The East Norriton Police Department has announced it has made an arrest following a Monday, August 25th report of a robbery in progress in the area of Johnson Highway and 3rd Street at the East Norriton and Norristown border.
According to police, the responding officers met with the victim, who provided a description of the suspect. Several other police departments and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office aided East Norriton police in the search.
The suspect, a 36-year-old man from Wisconsin, was eventually discovered under a porch in a nearby neighborhood. The investigation is described as ongoing.
While this was happening, a helicopter was hovering over the area, very close to the former Kenrick football field. It is not mentioned in the press release issued by the police department.
