Did you know Conshohocken has a store completely focused on candy and other treats? I didn’t either until I stopped by Edwards Freeman Nut Company at 441 E Hector Street and discovered something akin to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, minus the Oompa Loompas.
They have EVERY kind of candy. From high-end chocolates to the Fun Dip you enjoyed at the movie theater in your youth.
With “nut” in their name, you are also going to find their signature roasted peanuts and peanut butter that is made right here in Conshohocken.
While a visit to the store will bring out the kid in you, they also sell gift baskets that make great corporate gifts and can be ordered at the store, over the phone at 1-877-448-NUTS or online.
While you are searching for your favorite candy, you will also find that Edwards-Freeman is an old-fashioned nut “museum” and candy “landmark” with artifacts and memorabilia relating to the peanut industry decorating the walls and aisles. It also was recognized in 2009 as the “Best Candy Store” as part of the Main Line Suburban Life and Main Line Times’ “Best of the Main Line” feature.
