Satish Joshi is preparing to open Masala Symphony at 16 East 1st Avenue in Conshohocken. This is the former longtime of Viggiano’s. Joshi, who worked in the kitchen at Saffron in Ambler for more than a decade, is targeting a late August/early September opening.

MoreThanTheCurve.com spoke with Joshi this week and learned that he plans to offer a menu that features dishes from each region of India. The BYOB will have approximately 50 seats inside, with another 30 outside during nice weather.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, and offer corporate and social event catering.

Joshi looked at several communities while determining where to open a restaurant. He was sold on Conshohocken by his vibrancy and young people.
