The local municipal governments in Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, Pymouth, and Whitemarsh held reorganization meetings in early January to swear in elected officials and elect the leadership for their elected bodies. The Colonial School Board reorganized in December.
Below is a recap for each municipality and the school board.
In Conshohocken, Adrian Serna (Ward 2), David Bria (Ward 4), and Stacy Ellam (Ward 6), along with Mayor Yaniv Aronson and Tax Collector Dominic Coccia, Jr, were all sworn into office. All are returning to office, except for Bria (however, he previously served on an elected body in another municipality). Tina Sokolowski (Ward 3) and Kathleen Kingsley (Ward 5) were chosen to continue as president and vice president of the borough council. Conshohocken’s borough council is comprised of six Democrats and one Independent.
In Plymouth Township, William Winchester and Chris Manero took the oath of office. Winchester is new to the council, but previously served on the Colonial School Board. Manero previously served two terms on the council and was unable to continue due to term limits. After a four-year break, he ran for office again and returned to the council. Lynne Visco was elected chair of the council. This is her first time serving in that role. All members of the council are Democrats.
In West Conshohocken, incumbent council members Richard Marr, Stephen Blumenthal, Tara Gorney, and Tori Conicello-Emery, along with Mayor Danielle Fournier and Tax Collector Jerry Conincello, were all sworn into office. Blumenthal was elected to continue as president, and Gorney as vice-president. All members of the council are Democrats.
In Whitemarsh Township, incumbent Patrice Turenne and Megan Griffin-Shelley, a new member of the board of supervisors, were sworn into office. Jacey Toll was elected by the members of the board of supervisors to continue as chair. All of the members of the board are Democrats.
On the Colonial School Board, incumbents Gail Plant, Sharon Marino, and Rasheda Randall were joined by Tomas Santiago to be sworn into office. The board elected Beth Patruno and Gail Plant to continue as president and vice-president.
