The Montgomery County Department of Public Safety is hosting two presentations on January 22 and January 23 following the conclusion of its countywide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Study. The presentations will provide the findings and recommendations of the study.
The study was conducted during the second half of 2024 and focused on four key areas:
- Readiness of EMSS to handle emerging threats
- Analyzing costs of doing business and a sustainable funding model to include operating and capital costs
- Evaluating the current EMS delivery model to ensure the efficiency of service delivery of critical calls to timely quality clinical care
- Examining the workforce’s current and future needs including training
The presentations will be the same on both days. The presentations are open to the public, and on both days, there are opportunities to attend in person or virtually.
