Please note that this is not a full article on the special meeting that was held by Whitemarsh Township on March 11th that had a township consultant present recommendations following a study of the township’s two fire companies and ambulance company.
One thing we would like to point out. The township did not advertise or promote this meeting in anyway. The few residents who attended mentioned finding out at the last minute (likely from MoreThanTheCurve.com).
This could be a violation of the Sunshine Act. This should minimally result in an apology and should mean holding another meeting to properly offer the opportunity to attend. Many of the questions during the meeting came the small amount of concerned citizens who made it last minute. More should be offered this opportunity. Please note, almost all of the people in the photo are members of the two fire companies and the ambulance company.
The residents in attendance didn’t have the opportunity to review the actual study that was being discussed (or actually not discussed based on some of the comments).
