Stabbing reported in Conshohocken

A stabbing occurred near the intersection of East Hector Street and Walnut Street in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township). First responders were first called to the scene at 4:34 p.m.

An eyewitness to the aftermath shared that police took someone in custody near their home and could see a knife being bagged. We do not have any other information related to incident or the condition of the victim.

This is a developing situation and we will provide an update when we know more.

UPDATE – 6ABC Action News reports that a line cook from Bar Lucca has been taken into custody.

UPDATE 2 – Brian Pieri, the owner of Bar Lucca, shared the following on social media:

There was an incident tonight at Bar Lucca involving an altercation between two staff members. I want to thank our staff and the Whitemarsh police for both being swift and incredible in handling the situation. Our remaining energy will be spent focusing on the staff member who was unfortunately involved, unwillingly in the altercation. I’m very grateful for the incredible work by the WM [Whitemarsh] police department and Chef Will and his team. Thank you to all those who reached out to be supportive.

UPDATE 3 – The Whitemarsh Township Police Department released a press release about the incident:

On Saturday, November 11th, Whitemarsh Police responded to a stabbing at 729 Hector St (Bar Luca) at 1557 hrs. An employee stabbed another employee after a dispute with a small pocket type knife.

First aid was administered by responding officers and other officers were able to apprehend the offender a few blocks away after he left the scene, without any further incidents or disruption to the community.

The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS.

There is no other threat to the community, and we were assisted on-scene by Plymouth Township Police, Conshohocken Police, and West Conshohocken Police.
