Tommy Conwell recently recorded a song in Conshohocken that was written by Chris Dougherty, the 6ABC Action News photographer who died in the Chopper 6 crash in December. The pair had become friendly after they met at one of Conwell’s performances after he let Dougherty perform a song he had written titled “Candy Cane Lane.”

In tribute to Dougherty, Conwell asked Hooters drummer David Uosikkenen, bassist Kenny Aaronson, and his daughter, Chloe Conwell, to join him in recording the song. Studio 4 in Conshohocken donated studio time.
