The West Conshohocken Police Department issued an alert this week regarding an increase in the theft of packages in the area. The department also offered some tips on securing your packages.

Please be aware that our area and surrounding areas are experiencing an increase in package thefts. At this time of the year, package thieves are looking for deliveries and will take any opportunity to steal packages regardless of the time of day.

Try to retrieve your package as soon as it is delivered or if possible leave instructions for your package to be delivered to a more secure area of your residence or business. If you have a door camera or security camera make sure they are active and recording or taking photos.

Report any suspicious persons in the area loitering around residences or business and any missing packages to the Police immediately.
