Sunoco at Corner of Ridge and Butler Pikes in Conshohocken for Sale

Sunoco has placed 99 operating gas stations/convenience stores and vacant properties across the country for sale. This includes the location at the corner of Ridge and Butler Pikes in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). The sale is being conducted through sealed bids. You can bid to just buy one or the whole lot.

Here is how it describes the Sunoco in Conshohocken:

This site is an outparcel of The Plymouth Square Shopping Center and is across the street from another shopping center anchored by Giant Food Stores. This site is located just west of I-476 on busy Ridge Pike outside of Philadelphia. Home Depot, Ikea and Plymouth Meeting Mall are nearby. The location has potential if converted to a larger c-store to take advantage of the recently passed Philadelphia City soda and cigarette tax.

We know what you are thinking. Put a Wawa there!

So we compared the lot sizes between the Sunoco lot and the property at 12th and Fayette where a Wawa has been proposed. The Sunoco lot is 25,000 square feet. The former car dealership is 58,540 square feet. The Wawa under construction at 1300 Ridge Pike in Plymouth Meeting is 85,343 square feet. Even the Wawa (without gas pumps) at 1726 Butler Pike is on a lot that is over 85,000 square feet. The Sunoco property appears to not be big enough.
