61 Townhomes Proposed for Militia Hill Road at Stenton Avenue in Plymouth Meeting

A developer, Judd Associates, is seeking to have a text amendment adopted by Whitemarsh Township that would allow “attached dwellings” as a permitted use within the CLI-District (Campus-Type Limited Industrial District) on tracks of 20 acres or more. Currently, the CLI-District allows corporate headquarters, office, medical, and several types of industrial uses.

Judd is seeking to redevelop a property at Militia Hill Road at Stenton Avenue in Plymouth Meeting (Whitemarsh Township) that falls within this district. In the immediate area, Judd was the developer behind The Reserve at Creekside in Flourtown.

The text amendment is on the April 9th agenda of Whitemarsh’s Planning Commission. Here is how the agenda reads:

SLD#08-18 Judd Associates, LP, Militia Hill Road & Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA; Text Amendment to CLI-District for attached dwellings; 61 Unit Residential Townhouse Development

You can view the text amendment and the site plans here.

Note that this is before the Planning Commission, which can only offer a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors, if they chose to consider this text amendment, would make the actual decision.

The April 9th meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Whitemarsh Township building at 616 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill.
