Ask MoreThanTheCurve.com – Is Anyone Treating the Gullies Along Train Tracks for Mosquitoes?

A reader recently asked if we knew if the gullies along the train tracks were being treated for mosquitoes. The reader is concerned because the gullies often have standing water, which creates a potential breeding ground for mosquitoes.

The reader asked the Borough and was told to contact SEPTA. When we were asked about it, we contacted the SEPTA press office to find out the answer. SEPTA responded that the gullies are indeed treated for mosquitoes on a regular basis and that the treatment used inhibits mosquito growth.
