Presented by the Articulate Foundation and the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association, the documentary explores how the Wissahickon Valley’s past, present, and future can serve as a global model for water management and urban sustainability. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with key voices from the film, including Gail Farmer, the executive director of the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association, and Maura McCarthy, the executive director of the Friends of the Wissahickon. “On the Wissahickon” is from the producers of the Emmy Award-winning PBS show “Articulate.” The documentary is based on “Metropolitan Paradise: The Struggle for Nature in the City,” a book co-authored by David Contosta and Carol Franklin.
