In 2025, there will be seats up for election for the councils and boards that govern the Borough of Conshohocken, Borough of West Conshohocken, Plymouth Township, and Whitemarsh Township.
We haven’t asked the incumbents yet whether they will seek re-election, but that shouldn’t matter. If you want to run, you should run whether incumbents run or not. Don’t be discouraged by the parties. An independent won in 2023 in Conshy (beat the incumbent borough council president). The school board members who have won and served over the past few years have not been endorsed by either party. You can do it too!
If you are interested in running, Montgomery County Voter Services will eventually update its website to share filing information and important dates for the 2025 election.
Borough of Conshohocken Council
Three seats are up for election: Wards 2, 4, and 6. There could be some changes as the ward system needs reform to address the current population imbalance between them. So, if you are thinking about running, follow that issue closely (which we hear will be on agendas early in the year). It may change the ward you currently live within.
Adrian Serna (Ward 2), Antia Barton (Ward 4), and Stacy Ellam (Ward 6) are currently representing the seats up for election.
Borough of West Conshohocken Council
There are four seats up for election, all our at-large.
Stephen Blumenthal, Tara Gorney, Tori Conicello-Emery, and Richard Marr currently represent the seats up for election.
Plymouth Township Council
There are three seats up for election, Wards 1 and 3, along with the single at-large seat).
Nicholas Whitney (Ward 1), Lynne Viscio (Ward 3), and Karen Bramblett (at large) currently represent the seats up for election. Bramblett has served two consecutive terms, thus term-limited.
Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors
There are two seats up for election, and both are at large.
Fran McCusker and Patrice Turenne represent the seats up for election. McCusker is term-limited.
Colonial School Board
There are four seats up for election. All are at large.
The seats are currently held by Gail Plant, William Westhester, Jr., Rasheda Randall, and Sharon Marino.
