Music Training Center rebranding as Plymouth Performing Arts Center and moving to Plymouth Meeting Mall

Music Training Center, which has provided music and performing arts education at the Plymouth Square Shopping Center since 2002 has announced it is relocating to Plymouth Meeting Mall and rebranding itself as Plymouth Performing Arts Center. The move will take place in the spring of 2020.

The Plymouth Performing Arts Center will open in the former American Eagle space next to Legoland Discovery Center, adjacent to the Mall’s children’s area, carousel, and food court. The new space will be 5,700 square feet and includes a theater with seating for 100 guests, private lesson studios, a party room, and social areas with visibility into the theater.

The Plymouth Performing Arts Center’s programs will include musical theatre classes, performing arts summer camps, music and voice lessons, First NotesTM baby-toddler music classes, birthday parties, karaoke parties, A cappella groups, jazz ensembles, open-mic nights, and performances open to the community.

According to Darryl Schick, owner of the Music Training Center, he initiated the relocation to the Plymouth Meeting Mall in 2019 to accommodate a growing student base in a community that is highly supportive of music and performing arts.  He found the mall an attractive home due to its “expansive, social, family-friendly, all-season environment that is an ideal setting for aspiring performers of all ages to learn, grow, and share their talents with the community.”
