Philadelphia Soul to Practice on Fayette Street on March 31st

The Philadelphia Soul will be practicing on Fayette Street, between 8th and 9th, on Saturday, March 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The ‘walkthrough’ practice is open to the public and will be the last practice prior to the Soul’s home opener on Sunday, April 1 at the Wells Fargo Center, with kickoff at 6:05 p.m.  The Soul will be practicing against the Conshohocken Steelers, which is part of a development league for the Philadelphia Soul.

As part of the event, dollars will be raised for the Conshohocken Fire Department and local Conshohocken businesses have donated tickets to children in the Fellowship House to attend Sunday’s game.  This event is going to be a celebration of Conshohocken and a fun Saturday afternoon for the city.  The event will culminate in a post event party at Totaro’s on East Hector Street.

Local Philadelphia Band, Rivers Monroe will be performing live before and after the practice.  In addition to Soul players and coaches, also in attendance will be Soul mascot, SoulMan, the Soulmates dance team, and Soul ownership and front office.  Post-practice, players and Soulmates will be available to sign autographs for those in attendance.

“I’ve never been part of an organization so committed to being part of the community,” said Soul head coach Doug Plank.  “It is an exciting opportunity for the people of Conshohocken to get a look at this team like they have never seen them before.  These kinds of events are unique experiences that make it special to be part of our organization.”
