The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced on August 22nd that a sinkhole has caused the right lane of northbound Bethlehem Pike to close between Hillcrest Avenue and Stenton Avenue in Springfield Township (Montgomery County).

According to PennDOT, the northbound right lane will remain closed until roadway engineers can determine the extent of the damage and develop a plan to repair the roadway.
